Steven Black enjoys visit to Louisville

Steven Black of Vestavia Hills (AL) High School enjoyed the action both on and off the field during his unofficial visit to Louisville.

Steven Black, a 6-foot-3, 207-pound receiver from Vestavia Hills (AL) High School has claimed Louisville as his leader for nearly two months now and on Sunday he made the six hour trip from Birmingham to Louisville for the Cardinals season opening win over Kentucky.

We were a little late getting there, said Black, who was joined by teammates Harris Johnson and Tyler Haynes. "We didn't get there until about an hour before the game."

Despite arriving not long before kickoff, Black was immediately impressed by the action on and off the field on Sunday afternoon.

They looked real good, continued Black. "The offense was fun to watch and I really like Brian Brohm...you can tell he is going to be real good."

The sold-out crowd at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium also left a positive impression.

The crowd was great, Black explained. "It was loud all day. They really support the team. It was exciting to sit up in the stands with the fans."

Black, who has yet to make a college decision, also lists Alabama, Auburn, Clemson and Mississippi. He is planning on making an unofficial visit to Alabama on Saturday for the Crimson Tide's game against Mississippi.
