The last time we spoke with Stephen Garr of Male High School, he sounded as if he was prepared to go out of state for college. ITV caught up with Garr again following Male's victory over Central and asked if he was still leaning that way.
With heavy interest pouring from the likes of Purdue
, Stephen Garr
told Inside the Ville in late June that he was leaning on going out of state for college.
However, things seemed to have changed some over the past few weeks and Garr is now strongly considering staying home and accepting the scholarship offer from Louisville.
The 6-foot-2, 175-pound defensive back was among the more than 80 prospects making unofficial visits for U of L's 28-0 season opening win over Kentucky.
"It was a good game," Garr said on Tuesday. "It would have been better if they won by 40 though."
Prior to the game Louisville assistant coaches, Joe Whitt Jr., Reggie Johnson and Greg Nord spent time visiting with him and continued to express their interest in having him become a Cardinal.
