Roberson leaves Central Park, likely headed JUCO

6'7 University of Louisville commit Lamar Roberson has left the Central Park Christian (AL) program and will likely head to junior college this fall.

Lamar Roberson, from Baton Rougue, Louisiana, has left the Central Park Christian (AL) program, and according to Central Park Associate Head Coach Donovan Broadnax, the 6'7 forward will likely head to junior college this fall.

"He left school and our program as of this morning," Broadnax said Tuesday morning. "He'll probably be headed to a junior college now."

Sources familiar with Roberson's situation said Monday night that the University of Louisville commit will likely head back to his home in Louisiana before figuring out his next move. Roberson's status with the University of Louisville is uncertain at this time, but the Cardinals received a verbal commitment from 6'8 Chad Millard late Monday night. Millard plays a similar position as Roberson.

"Lamar was just struggling to handle our academic requirements," Broadnax said.

Broadnax confirmed with Inside The Ville that Central Park will play at least one game in Louisville this season. That will occur January 8 at 5:00 PM at Louisville Gardens with a game possibly against either Brentwood (TN) Academy or Oak Hill (VA) Academy. Donovan said organizers are also trying to find a second game for his team in Louisville that weekend.
