Harvey returns from ASU visit, U of L trip next

Brian Harvey made his first official visit to Arizona State over the weekend and has trips remaining to both Louisville and Kansas in the coming weeks.

Bryan Harvey, the four star shooting guard from famed Dominguez high school in Compton (Calif.), took his first official visit to Arizona State over the weekend and got an up close and personal look at the Sun Devil basketball program.

"It was a good trip," said the 6-5 180 Harvey. "They showed me the campus, and I got to meet some academic advisors. It was a really beautiful place. I liked the locker rooms, the people, everything was cool. I had fun at Coach Evans and Mrs. Evans' BBQ and the football game was cool too."

Harvey portrays his playing style as one that is versatile. "My strong points are penetrating and getting to the basket," he claimed. "I can also shoot the ball real well. Something I need to work on is my post game. I'm taller than most guards and sometimes you need to post up the smaller guys." When asked what kind of role the ASU coaches envision him in he replied: "Coming off screens and shooting balls. They see me as a big guard that can make an immediate impact."

Harvey again reaffirmed that his short list still consists of three schools. "Louisville and Kansas are the other two schools besides Arizona State. It doesn't really matter if I stay close to home or not, as long as I'm in a good situation it's all good."

The Dominguez star will visit Louisville this weekend and will attend Kansas' midnight madness on October 15th. "That's all I have set up right now, but I've been talking to Miami and UConn." Harvey added that he didn't think he would make a decision before he takes the three visits he has scheduled thus far.
