Brandon Logan talks about favorites

Linebacker Brandon Logan of Lexington Catholic High School talks about Michigan, Louisville, Kentucky, Tennessee, Clemson and Florida.

Kentucky LB Brandon Logan (6-1, 210, 4.7) says Michigan leads slightly over Kentucky (camp/visited), Louisville (visited), Michigan (visited), Tennessee (visited), Clemson and Florida. All have offered.

"Michigan has been recruiting me pretty hard and I've developed a good relationship with the coaches…I've been there the most aside from Kentucky," says Logan, from Lexington Catholic. "The Wolverines recruited my brother (John Logan WR ) really hard a couple of years ago--but he goes to Kentucky now. They have a great program and it would be a great place to play football. Michigan is a good football state and I'm still kind of evaluating the program. I know their defense runs a 4-3, which is the same as Kentucky. That kind of set-up leaves a lot of leeway for the LBs to make most of the plays.

"Kentucky is my home-town team. They've got a building program and their defense is designed for LBs. It would be fun to play ILB there. I like coaches (Mike) Archer (def coord/OLBs) and (Cedric) Koger a lot. They've both told me I'm vital to their recruiting process being a home guy and stuff.

"Louisville is a really improved team. They recently moved to the Big East and that's a plus. They are definitely an up and coming program. Coach (Bobby) Petrino is really changing things around there in a positive way. They're getting better players and winning some ball games.

"I don't know much about Tennessee. But they do win some ball games and are always a contender. They've got a great tradition and a great program.

"I don't know much about Clemson either--but I remember them being a powerhouse in the 80's, and I think that kind of team strength is coming back--plus the ACC is a great league to play in.

"Florida has a great winning tradition, but I don't know much about them other than what I see on t.v. They do have some great defensive players and coach (Charlie) Strong (def coord), the one who's been recruiting me, is a great guy."

Logan will officially visit Tennessee, Clemson and Michigan during the season and Florida and Kentucky after the season.
