James McKinney has made unofficial visits to Louisville, Kentucky and Notre Dame over the past few weekends and a few teams appear to rising to the top of his list.
Last week during an interview with OUInsider.com, an Oklahoma
Sooners site, James McKinney
Central High School mentioned that he has narrowed his list of schools down to six.
"Michigan, Louisville, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Kentucky and Ohio State are the six schools that I am considering at this time," said McKinney.
With unofficial visits to Louisville, Kentucky, Notre Dame, as well as previous trips to Michigan, has the U.S. Army All-American changed anything?
"Not really, those are still the schools," McKinney told InsidetheVille.com on Wednesday. "If I had to say I had a leader it would be a three-way tie between Notre Dame, Michigan and Louisville."
While he won't be visiting a school this weekend, he has fielded calls from a handful of programs this week.
"Oklahoma, Ohio State, Clemson and Oklahoma State called me today. Coach Petrino called the other day too...he's a funny guy."
Central will attempt to improve to 4-2 on the season this weekend when it hosts Jeffersontown.
NOTES: McKinney also told ITV that two teammates will be making unofficial visits to Louisville this weekend in Xavier Braxton and Ken Duvall.
