ITV Video: Defense Domination

Once again the Cardinals defense turned in an impressive effort, limited the visiting East Carolina Pirates to just 235 total yards and 7 points.

Throughout the 60 minutes of action on the field inside Papa John's Cardinal Stadium on Saturday, the Louisville Cardinals defense racked up some staggering numbers.

The Cardinals totaled 11 tackles for a loss, including 5 sacks, intercepted three passes and recovered two forced fumbles. The U of L defense limited the Pirates offense to just 235 total yards, of which 52 came on their last drive of the game. ECU was only able to muster 7 points in the game and only managed to cross midfield five times on 15 possessions.

Despite being completely run over by the Louisville defense, Pickney was quick to mention that he didn't think it was best defense that ECU has faced this year.

"They're not the best defense we've played, not by a long shot," said Pickney, who went on to say that Cincinnati's defense was the best he has faced.

Pickney, who was temporarily knocked out the game following a jarring hit, might not appreciate this video reminder, but we figured that you would.
