Another PA Lineman considering Louisville

When you are a 6-foot-4, 285-pounds and have near 5.0-40 speed, you can be sure that a number of college programs will coming knocking on your door and making your phone ring frequently.

That's the case with Lawrence Green of McKeesport (PA) Area High School. Green, an All-Conference selection as a junior, describes himself as the type of player that become a leader on the next level.

"I try to bring a lot of intensity to the field and do my best at getting my team ready to play," Green said.

Also a standout basketball player, Green has decided against participating in AAU events this year so that he can focus his attention on the gridiron.

With offers already extended from Akron, Connecticut, Louisville and Temple, Green has started to think about future official visits.

"I haven't figured them all out yet, but the first two will be to Connecticut and Louisville," Green said on Wednesday. "I haven't set the dates."

In addition to those that have offered, Green also receives frequent interest from Pittsburgh, Syracuse and West Virginia.

This week he has fielded calls from Iowa, Minnesota, West Virginia, Central Michigan and Connecicut.

When it comes time to take his visits, which he plans to do after his senior season is over, Green says that he'll know the right place when he see's it.

"I want to see each place, but I'll know it's the place by the feeling that I get from it."

Green's team is off to a 5-1 start on the season.
