The Cards hold Steady in Weekly Polls

The Cardinals dropped one spot in the ESPN/USA Today poll, and moved up three spots in the AP poll.

After suffering a heart breaking loss at the hands of the, Miami Hurricanes the Louisville Cardinals held steady in the recent polls.

The Cardinals went into their game at the Orange Bowl ranked 17th in the ESPN/USA Today poll and 18th in the AP poll. But Bobby Petrino and the Louisville Cardinals, who had Miami on the ropes the entire game, lost 41-38 when Miami scored a touchdown with only 49 seconds left.

Poll voters must have been impressed by the Cardinals performance because even with the loss they only dropped one spot in the ESPN poll to 18th, and jumped three spots to 15th in the AP Poll.

The first Bowl Championship Series poll will be released later today.

The next opponent for the Cardinals is South Florida at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium on Friday.
