"We're having dress down week right now," said Garr, who attends Male, which holds a strict dress code. "We've already had costume day and [thursday] is purple and gold day, which is when everyone is supposed to wear as much of those colors as they can and then friday is Manual's funeral day and everyone is supposed to wear all black."
This season's game between the two rivals marks the 122nd meeting and with both teams holding a 7-2 record, a #2 seed into the playoffs is also on the line.
"It's an important game, but I think we match up good with them," explained Garr. "After watching them on film I think we'll throw more at them than anyone else will."
While this weekend's game has his full attention, he spent last weekend making unofficial visits.
"I went to the Louisville game against South Florida last Friday and then I went to the Purdue - Michigan game the next day," Garr said.
While interest from Purdue continues to increase, Garr has also recently received higher attention from another program in the Hoosier state.
While visiting the hometown Cardinals last Friday, the 6-foot-3, 200-pound DB/WR prospect spoke with U of L assistants Greg Nord and Joe Whitt Jr.
"They told me that they are waiting for me to decide," Garr said of the discussion. "I just said that I wasn't ready yet."
While continues to consider all of his current options and await future possibilities, Garr did set a date to for an official visit to Louisville on the weekend of January 14th.
The Male - Manual game will be hosted by the Bulldogs at Maxwell Field on Friday.
