Bryan Harvey makes commitment to U of L official

6-4 Bryan Harvey signed a letter of intent to play basketball at the University of Louisville yesterday.

Bryan Harvey, Scout.com's No. 96 player in the nation, signed a binding national letter of intent to play his college basketball at the University of Louisville on the first day of the early signing period, which began yesterday.

"I signed my letter of intent yesterday and send it to U of L," Harvey said. "We had a little ceremony and party yesterday at school."

Harvey, who averaged 18 points and 9 rebounds as a junior, helped lead Dominguez High School in Compton, California to the Division-II state championship last season.

"It's a big relief to get it over with," Harvey said of the recruiting process. "Now I'm ready to start the season and get going."

Cardinal fans will get a chance to see Harvey in action this season as Dominguez is scheduled to play in Louisville this season.

"If we work hard we have a chance to be real good this season," he added.
