Cardinals v. Bearcats sold out!

The University of Louisville football team is having an outstanding season on the field, and that's translated into success at the turnstiles. With the Cincinnati game sold out, the Cardinals have sold out four of their five home games in 2004.

Looking toward the last home game on November 27 against Cincinnati, the Cardinals are averaging 41,260 fans per game, which is the best mark in school history. Louisville averaged a school-best 38,547 in 2000. The Cardinals also rank among the best in the country in season tickets sales at approximately 34,500.

"The response from the fans has been outstanding," said head coach Bobby Petrino. "They've been big reason why we're undefeated at home this year and 9-1 in two years. They should be commended for their efforts."

The Cardinal football team is also bowl eligible for the seventh straight season and the ticket office is beginning to take reservations for fans interested in reserving their tickets for the bowl game once it's determined where the Cardinals are headed.

It's also not too early to think about becoming a season-ticket holder as the ticket office is also taking reservations for 2005 season tickets when the Cardinals enter the Big East.
