"I'm pretty close to committing," Scott explained. "I just need to see Louisville first."
He speaks with U of L assistant coach Joe Whitt Jr. on a regular basis and Scott said that he'll tell him his intentions of likely becoming a Cardinal in the near future.
"I probably won't commit when I talk to him next, but I'll tell him that right now that's where I think I'd like to play," said Scott.
While Scott continues to consider another Conference USA program, he claims that Louisville stands out. "I'm still thinking about Southern Miss too, but Louisville just feels like the right place for me."
He was impressed with the play of both the offense and the defense while watching the Cardinals dominating 70-7 win over Cincinnati on Saturday.
"I bet it was a lot of fun for the ones that were dressed in red," said Scott. "The defense played real good and that's a thing that a lot people don't seem to notice...they only let them score seven points."
A few weeks ago Scott had made a comment that he was concerned about the future of U of L head coach Bobby Petrino and the rumors surrounding the open Florida position, but a recent discussion with the Cardinals head coach reassured him.
"I got to talk to the coaches and talked with Coach Petrino about it," explained Scott. "He told me that he's there to stay."
Scott also mentioned that his family is comfortable with any decision that he may make during the coming weeks.
"They aren't worried about where I go. They just want me to be happy wherever I go."
