Tall Carolina Receiver Setting Visit To Louisville

An interesting story this year has been that of Scott Long, a big receiver and safety from Southport (N.C.) South Brunswick, who tore his ACL last fall and worked back through rehabilitation. Fortunately, more schools are taking another hard look at him.

"A couple of new schools have started to show some new interest now that the season is over and I've got my tape out to some new people," said the 6-foot-3, 195 pounder. "I've taken some visits and things like that. Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, and Marshall have shown some new interest."

Long said his offer from Louisville is still on the table and "they are definitely in the mix. I'm going to visit Louisville officially, he's waiting for me to set the visit up.

"I just got back from Tennessee this weekend for an unofficial visit. I liked it; it was a lot bigger than any other place I have visited so far. It's a great atmosphere on gameday, and I don't know how to describe it, but it's big. They have a great receiving corp, two young quarterbacks, and two guys from North Carolina that committed to them. They have a lot of young talent, and I'm sure they'll be competing for a national championship here soon."

Long certainly took a hard look at the Vols, but he will take more looks when he visits the other schools as well, though they will be for official visits.

"I'll be visiting Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech here soon, probably after the Louisville trip. I haven't set them up yet though."
