"Right now," Turner said, "I would have to sat that UTEP leads. I really like Coach Mike Price a lot. He came by yesterday (Wednesday) for an in-home visit to talk to us. And, he's just treated us better than everybody else."
His top three?
Asked if Texas Tech would join that group and/or take the lead provided they offered, the QB from West Hills, California said, "No, they wouldn't lead. But they would join the schools in my top three."
Official Visit Agenda: Turner has already taken one official visit (UTEP) 11/12 and will head to either Illinois or Maryland 12/10. The week immediately following has him trippin' to Louisville (12/17), leaving just a couple.
Contenders for those last two visit slots?
"Texas Tech, I was going to go to take an official there this weekend but they cancelled it and then either Maryland or Illinois, or maybe LSU.
Illinois has in fact offered while LSU, Maryland and Texas Tech have yet to do so. Depending on who steps up with an offer in the near future could very well decide who grabs the last couple of officials.
"LSU just talked me (Thursday)," he said. "They said I was new on their radar and that we'll see what happens in January."
"Maryland just got into the picture also," Turner added.
Needless to say, there's quite a bit for the 6-3.5, 195-pounder to sort out. But he is fact looking at Texas Tech, albeit with UTEP on top at this stage of the game.
