However according to his father, three programs continue to top the 6-foot-3, 255-pound defensive lineman's list.
Louisville assistant Jeff Brohm made an in-home visit with Kuntz last week and impressed the family during his time in their home.
"Louisville really moved up in the families eyes," continued Mr. Kuntz. "Of course, Patrick will make the final decision, but Louisville has been impressive."
Kuntz spent this past weekend making an official visit to Duke and has already tripped to Michigan State. He has a planned visit with Indiana set for this weekend and will then be among the many highly-rated prospects visiting U of L on the weekend of December 17th.
According to his father, Louisville and Michigan State are both recruiting Patrick as a defensive end, while Duke projects him as a defensive tackle and that he would like to find early playing time.
"I know Patrick would really like to go somewhere that he can play next year, but he's not totally opposed to redshirting. A lot of that depends on how he does adding weight and working out."
During Brohm's in-home visit, the Midwest Hot 100 prospect also informed the U of L assistant that he wouldn't have to wait much longer for his decision.
"He told Coach Brohm while he was here that he would have a decision by Christmas," Mr. Kuntz said.
