Sledge likes U of L's style of offense

Eric Sledge, considered one of the best pure athletes in the state of Florida, says he likes the University of Louisville's style of offense and has scheduled an official visit to the Cardinals campus early next month.

Eric Sledge is one of the best big athletes in the state of Florida and he has quite a few teams in the hunt for his signature.

"I like Auburn, North Carolina State, Ohio State, West Virginia, Michigan and Louisville. I'll wait until after Christmas to narrow it down to five, but all of them have offered me a scholarship," Sledge said.

What stands out about each of those programs?

Auburn: "It's not too far from home and it's one of the programs that have always been consistent. Their defense has really stepped up."

N.C. State: "I like Coach Amato and he came to see me last week at school."

Ohio State: "I like their tradition and Coach Tressel is the man. They have the potential to explode any year."

West Virginia: "I like the people up there. They're just good people."

Michigan: "They're just a good team and they always have good wide receivers."

Louisville: "I love Brian Brohm and their style of offense. They are a quick striking team."

Sledge, who made a visit to West Virginia last weekend, has upcoming visits to Louisville and either N.C. State or Ohio State.

"I'm going to Louisville on January 7th and either N.C. State or Ohio State on the 14th," Sledge said.

Sledge, who plays on both sides of the ball in high school, said he's leaning towards playing offense at this time.
