5 Visits Set for MVP

Florida Hot 100 prospect Kendrick Stewart has scheduled an official visit to Louisville for early January.

Kendrick Stewart was named MVP of the state finals as Lakeland won the championship over St. Thomas Aquinas over the weekend. Stewart capped a great season in which he had 76 tackles including 23 tackles for loss.

With his season reaching a satisfying conclusion, Stewart can now focus on recruiting. Defensive Line Coach at Lakeland Coach Talbot helped show us where Stewart was headed.

"He's going to Iowa this weekend," said Talbot. "He also has visits set with Louisville (1-7), Georgia (1-14), Florida State (1-21), and USF (1-28). They've all offered him scholarships so far."

Florida was an early leader for Stewart, but the Gators have yet to offer. Are they still a player in the race for the South Hot 100 DT? "Florida is definitely in there. One of his visits could change if he ends up visiting Florida."

Stewart was featured on Countdown to Signing Day on Wednesday, and when Talbot was told that Stewart was chosen as the top defensive player from the State Championship games last weekend, Talbot was excited to share his star player.
