Wootton Visited By Petrino, Wolthausen

One of three prospects from Don Bosco (NJ) Prep set to make an official visit to Louisville this weekend, Corey Wootton received a visit from U of L head coach Bobby Petrino on Wednesday.

Louisville has an impressive track record with tight ends, producing such collegiate standouts as Ibn Green and Jamie Asher and if head coach Bobby Petrino has his way, Corey Wootton will be eventually add to that stellar list.

At 6-foot-7, 225-pounds, some colleges project Wootton as an offensive lineman, but Louisville continues to view him as a tight end.

"We've mostly talked about me playing tight end, which I like," Wootton explained.

The two-year starter also said that he enjoyed his visit with Coach Petrino and Coach Wolthausen on Wednesday evening.

"We had a good visit," Wootton explained. "I really like Coach Petrino. We talked about what's going on during the visit and about playing tight end."

During his visit to Louisville this weekend, Wootton will sit in on a few film sessions, attend the Cardinals basketball game against Kentucky and watch a couple practices.

"I want to see how they practice there," continued Wootton. "I want to see how they run it and what types of things they do."

With official visits to Northwestern and Connecticut now behind him and an upcoming date at North Carolina State, Wootton also claims that it is still too early to claim a leader for his services.

"I'm not ready to yet. I'm still pretty much open."
