McKinney leaves surprise official visit early

James McKinney had said all along that he would not make an official visit to Louisville due to it being the hometown team. Well, this past weekend the 4-star prospect changed his mind and took an official trip to the Cardinals football program.

However, the visit was cut short on Saturday morning. McKinney went home prior to the group of official visitors making the short trek to Freedom Hall to watch the Cardinals basketball game against rival Kentucky.

"My visit was cut short because of a mutual agreement," McKinney told ITV on Saturday afternoon.

While the reasons for the visit being cut short did not make this article per the request of McKinney, he did have positive comments regarding the Cardinals football program.

"I have no hard feelings towards U of L," McKinney said. "It's a real good up and coming program."

McKinney also informed ITV that, as of right now the recruiting relationship between he and U of L is over.
