JuCo Marcus Gordon Commits to Louisville

4-star junior college offensive tackle Marcus Gordon informed Inside the Ville that he has decided to cast his lot with the Cardinals.

Despite giving his verbal commitment to the Nebraska Cornhuskers coaching staff a week ago, 6-foot-6, 320-pound junior college offensive tackle Marcus Gordon has now decided to join the Louisville football program.

"I did commit," Gordon a native of Memphis, Tenn. "I wanted to be closer to home."

Gordon, who told ITV that he has yet to inform the Nebraska staff of his decision, said that the U of L coaches seemed pleased with his new decision.

"Yeah, they were excited," continued the soft-spoken Gordon, who made his official visit to Louisville this past weekend.

However, the 4-star prospect has yet to send U of L his Letter of Intent.

"I haven't sent it yet, but I have it right here," Gordon explained. "I'll send it soon."

An honorable mention All-Conference selection this past season, Gordon is eligible to enroll at U of L in early January and can participate in spring practice.

"They said that I could come in and get a starting spot at tackle because they have an opening there," Gordon explained.
