LSU has talked to at least three candidates

Louisville's Bobby Petrino, Arkansas' Houston Nutt and Oklahoma State's Les Miles appear the three leading candidates to replace Nick Saban at Louisiana State, though LSU officials deny any candidate has been offered the job.

The following is a snipit from Wednesday morning's New Orleans Times-Picayune about LSU's coaching search.

ORLANDO, FLA. -- LSU has contacted Arkansas coach Houston Nutt and Oklahoma State coach Les Miles, in addition to Louisville coach Bobby Petrino, about the school's head coaching vacancy.

The three are thought to be the top candidates for the job. Both Nutt and Petrino have confirmed speaking with LSU athletic director Skip Bertman, and sources said Miles also has met with at least one LSU representative.
