"Coach Nord and Coach Petrino came by my house today," Garr said. "It was the first time that Coach Petrino came by and it was good because he got to meet my parents."
Garr, who said they discussed the recent LSU speculation, his upcoming official visit and more, appears to be closing in on making his decision.
"I'm about ready for it to be over," Garr said of the recruiting process. "I'm just ready to start focusing on playing on the next level."
Garr also admitted to having concerns about the LSU situation prior to Petrino making his visit.
"It did bother me because I didn't know the details," Garr explained. "He said that he wanted to see what a top program like that had to offer and that they never offered him a job. He said that he was happy to be staying at Louisville, so I'm okay with it now."
He listed Louisville, Western Kentucky and Northwestern as his current top three.
"They were the first to offer, so they are going to strong consideration," Garr explained.
Garr will make his official visit to Louisville this weekend.
