New Leader Emerges for Florida Wide Receiver

Apopka, Florida standout Eric Sledge made an official visit to the University of Louisville this weekend and claims the Cardinals as the leader for his services. However, Steve Spurrier and South Carolina will get a shot to change his mind next weekend.

Apopka, Florida standout Eric Sledge used his second official visit this weekend to check out the Louisville Cardinals. How did it go?

"I had a great time. I'd give it an 8 overall," Sledge said.

What did he favor most about it?

"They had very nice facilities. The people were nice. I really liked the environment basically. A guy named Mario hosted me. He was a really cool and laid back person."

Did the visit change things on his list of favorites?

"Louisville and South Carolina are my two teams. By me visiting Louisville, they just shot straight up to the top though."

The Cardinals are in front for now, but Steve Spurrier's squad will have a chance to change his mind next weekend.

"I have a visit left to South Carolina this weekend and I may have a decision after that. I'll still take my visits to Ohio State on the 21st and N.C. State on the 28th though because you never know what could happen."

What is he looking for most in a school?

"I want to go somewhere where they pass the ball and I can play early. I also want to win of course."
