Zach Anderson, a 6-4, 265-pound defensive tackle from East Mississippi Community College, has decided to end his recruitment and verbally commit to Bobby Petrino and the University of Louisville.

"Yes, I committed to Louisville last night," Anderson confirmed Tuesday afternoon.

Anderson, a four-star prospect by Scout.com who runs a 4.9-forty, turned down scholarship offers from Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Auburn, Alabama, Southern Miss, West Virginia and Texas A&M in choosing U of L.

Even with his impressive size, Anderson says that the Louisville coaches are projecting him as an immediate impact defensive end.

"They want me to come in and play on the end," said Anderson, who has two years of eligibility remaining. "I like my chances to play right away there."

Anderson, who recorded 85 tackles and 10 sacks as a junior college freshman, is expected to graduate in May and enroll in time for fall camp. He was named the JUCO Defensive Player of the Year in North-Mississippi and earned 1st-team all-state and 1st-team all-region honors this season.
