Is Cordaro Howard's commitment to U of L firm?

Is 6-5, 255-pound Cordaro Howard's verbal commitment to the University of Louisville still solid after the Phenix, Alabama native's official visit to Georgia Tech last weekend?

Despite telling Inside The Ville that he didn't plan on taking any additional official visits following his commitment to the University of Louisville two weeks ago, offensive lineman Cordaro Howard changed his mind and took a trip to Georgia Tech last weekend.

"I decided that I'd take my visit to Georgia Tech," Howard said on Wednesday. "I don't know if I'll be taking any of my other visits though. I'm supposed to go to UAB and Ole Miss, but I probably won't go."

Asked to compare the visit to Georgia Tech to his experience at Louisville and he had a tough time describing what it was that he liked so much about the Cardinals program.

"My visit to Georgia Tech was alright," explained Howard. "I can't really put it in words what I really like about Louisville. It's Louisville. That's all that needs to be said."

When asked if his commitment to Louisville remained solid, Howard's response was quick.

"Oh yeah, I'm solid. That's where I'm going."

Following his trip to Atlanta, Howard returned home and visited with U of L head coach Bobby Petrino.

"Coach Petrino came by on Sunday," continued Howard. "We talked about signing day and about when I come up there."

Howard, who said that his school will hold a special event for the signing of his National Letter of Intent, continues to spend much of his time preparing to play on the collegiate level.

"I'm just going to keep lifting weights," Howard said. "Right now I bench 305 and squat 425."

Howard chose the Cardinals over Auburn, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Troy State and UAB.
