Maurice Urrutia to be a Cardinal

InsidetheVille.com has been informed that Fern Creek receiver <B>Maurice Urrutia</b> has decided to join his older brother Mario as a member of the Cardinals football team.

Maurice Urrutia, a member of Scout.com's postseason rankings of Kentucky's top ten prospects, has decided to join the nation's top offensive unit by becoming a Louisville Cardinal.

"He's going to Louisville," said Urrutia's mother.

Urrutia will join Josh Byrom and Craig James as incoming Cardinals that will grayshirt the first semester and will officially join the team in January.

"He is going to set out this year and then start at the beginning of next year," his mother explained.

The 6-foot-4, 190-pound receiver proved over the past two season while staring at Fern Creek High School in Louisville that he has the ability to stretch the field and pull in difficult catches.

As a senior, the All-State performer recorded 25 receptions for 694 yards (19.8 ypc) and 4 touchdowns.

Marice's older brother, Mario Urrutia, was a redshirt freshman for Louisville last season and is expected to see considerable action during the 2005 season as a receiver.
