"I received my first offer from Auburn earlier in the year. I love Auburn. It's a great school, and my brother went there. I am very familiar with the way they run things. Auburn is probably my favorite for now, but I am wide open," said Eugene Sowell.
The standout back is receiving a lot of mail on a regular basis, and after rushing for 1,058 yards with 20 touchdowns as a junior, it's no wonder why.
The Cardinals are known to come into Alabama and sign several top players. They have let Sowell know he is one of their top targets.
"Louisville has a great program. They have a lot of wins. They go into a lot of games as underdogs. They are building a great program."
Despite Alabama signing four running backs in the 2005 class, Sowell is giving serious consideration to the Tide as well.
"I like Alabama a lot. Alabama is a great school. Everything is really starting to pick up there. They will have a great squad this year," said Sowell.
As for now, Sowell plans to weigh his options and be open to the recruiting process.
"I will probably go through the whole process, and take all of my official visits. If something came up, and I felt like I wanted to go somewhere, I probably would go ahead and commit."
There are a few things Sowell would like to improve before his senior year.
"I feel like I can do it all. I will run over someone to get the extra yard. I am a big back. I am pretty fast. I would like to improve my footwork and speed. I have good speed, but you can always improve it," said Sowell.
Sowell plans to camp at Alabama, Auburn, and Georgia.
