Lady Cards enter C-USA Tourney as #2 seed

The University of Louisville women's basketball team finished second behind No. 12 DePaul in the Conference USA regular season race. The Cardinals defeated Cincinnati on Friday evening to secure the second place finish with an 11-3 record. TCU and Houston finished tied for third in the league with 10-4 records. DePaul finished the season winning 13 straight games to finish with a 13-1 record. All four teams receive a first round bye in the tournament which begins March 3 in Charlotte, N.C.

Louisville will begin play in the Pepsi Conference USA Tournament on Friday at 8:30 p.m. against the winner of the Marquette\UAB game. The Cardinals finished the season with an overall record of 20-7, their second consecutive 20-win season.
