For those attending Lousville's spring practice, you may have noticed DuPont Manual defensive lineman Aundre Henderson watching from the sideline. On Tuesday, the 6-foot-4, 290-pound Henderson made his third visit to the Cardinals practice and afterwards he, along with his mother and father, visited with U of L head coach Bobby Petrino and assistant Greg Nord.

"It went real good," Henderson said of the meeting inside the Cardinals football complex. "They offered me a scholarship while I was there. They told me that they wanted me to come play for U of L."

The scholarship offer from Louisville is Henderson's second, as Kentucky offered in February.

"It feels good," Henderson said of the attention from college coaches. "I always dreamed of playing college football, so it's exciting that this is happening."

However, while he has dreamed of playing college football for years, Henderson, who is a great student, has academics at the top of his priority list.

"My decision will be have academics in mind first," explained Henderson, who carries a 3.2 GPA and has scored a 22 on the ACT. "How I feel about the coaches and current players will be important and so will the shape of the team be...if they are winning or not. Nobody wants to play for a team that doesn't win."

In addition to the scholarship offers, Henderson continues to receive considerable attention from Clemson, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Notre Dame and others.

"Kansas State has started sending me a lot of stuff lately and Minnesota's recruiting coach told me that they are real close to offering," said Henderson.

Due to the continued interest from numerous programs, Henderson isn't in a rush to decide.

"I'm not going to decide anytime soon," Henderson explained. "I'm going to wait until after my senior season."

With an offer from the Cardinals now in hand, Henderson admits that U of L is high on current list.

"Right now Louisville is one of my top choices," said Henderson, who will attend U of L's Junior Day on Saturday.

Henderson also told on Tuesday evening that he will attend Michigan's camp, as well as possibly trip to Clemson and Michigan State over the summer.
