"I'm competing in a weight lifting tournament this weekend," said Lark who has a 480 pound bench press and 640 pound squat and looks every bit of it.
That the 6-0 and 300 pounder has tremendous strength on the football field is a given, but he also is extremely quick. He has been hearing from some of the top schools in the region.
"I was invited to Louisville, NC State, UCF, Wake Forest, Ole Miss, and Florida for Junior Days. I got to go to Florida. I hung out with Corey Hobbs. We talked with Coach Strong for about 30 minutes. He's my recruiting coach. We talked about spring practice, and I also got to meet Coach Meyer and the defensive line coach. I met up with Clint McMillan there too. He's a former teammate of mine."
Florida is not the only school that Lark is interested in.
"I'm going to try and make it to Georgia Tech this weekend. Georgia Tech, Louisville, and Florida are my Top 3 right now."
What does Lark like about his three favorites?
"The academics at Georgia Tech are awesome, and I really like Coach Gailey. Louisville is an up and coming program, and I like it up there in Kentucky. Florida is close to home, and I've liked them since I was little. I'm going to try and camp at all three schools this summer."
Lark finished his junior season with 63 tackles, four sacks, and two forced fumbles. While his strength numbers and athletic accomplishments are impressive, he is also a 4.0 student.
