GA RB Okeem McLendon says U of L his leader

6-0, 205-pound running back Okeem McClendon from Macon County (GA) High School, rushed for over 1,800 yards and 20 touchdowns as a junior. He recently received a scholarship offer from Louisville, and currently lists the Cardinals as his leader.

Okeem McLendon is a highly productive running back from Macon County High School in Central, GA. He's recently picked up his first big time offer and other schools are showing heavy interest as well.

"Louisville offered me two weeks ago. South Carolina has called and Ball State has been by as well as Tulane," Okeem McLendon said.

Which schools is he most interested in at this time?

"My favorite schools I'd have to say are Georgia, Auburn, Louisville, Florida and South Carolina," McLendon said. "I'd have to go with Louisville as my leader."

Why are the Cardinals currently atop his list?

"They've came to me first and offered so I must really be important to them," said McLendon.

What does he like about the other programs on his list?

Georgia: "I like everything about them. I grew up a bulldog fan."

Auburn: "I love Auburn because they run the ball a lot."

Florida: "I like that Swamp."

South Carolina: "I like Spurrier."

Okeem has picked out two camps for this summer.

"I'm going to Auburn's camp and I'm trying to get to Louisville's also."
