"I am up to five offers now as I just recently received offers from Missouri, Northwestern, Indiana, and Arkansas State," said McNeil. "Nebraska was my first offer, and they are still at the top of my list. I was greatly impressed with everything when I visited there, and the entire staff was easy to talk to, and held very enjoyable conversations."
"My oldest sister just graduated from Missouri, and my other sister just completed her freshman year there. Their coaches told me that the entire staff viewed my film, and they just felt I was a guy that was worthy of a scholarship offer. With guys like Tony Temple and Chase Patton, I know the future is bright, and the coaches expect great things this season because it is the first season were all guys on the roster are the guys they hand picked to be on the team."
"I haven't heard from Kansas, yet, on the phone, but I liked it a lot up there when I visited. I have a friend's father who knows the coaches up there, and I'm pretty sure there is interest. I just got off the phone with UCLA, and they only had film of one game and wanted a highlight film before deciding to offer. Coach (Eric) Johnson from Iowa said they have limited scholarships this year, and are really focusing on adding depth at linebacker, cornerback, and wide receiver. He said he wants to offer two tight ends, but right now probably only one will be signed," said McNeil.
A few more offers could come this summer while McNeil attends various camps.
"I'll be going to the Louisville camp on June 4th and 5th, and I'm attending the Illinois camp on June 18th. I like both of those schools a lot right now. I also may go with my teammate, Jeremy McNeil, to the Texas Tech camp on June 7th. One of our teachers is close friends with one of their assistants, Seth Littrell, and you can't argue with the success of their offense," stated McNeil.
