Eugene Sowell has strong top five

Running back Eugene Sowell, a member of the South Hot 100, tells that he's already thinking about which school's he will make official visits with later this year.

Shades Valley (AL) High School running back Eugene Sowell has watched his stock rise since he received his first two scholarship offers from Auburn and Louisville in early spring.

Sowell, the younger brother of senior Auburn linebacker Mayo Sowell, has added offers from Clemson and LSU and continues to draw heavy attention from Alabama, Florida, Miami and others.

Last weekend, the 6-foot, 210-pound back attended an in-state camp and hopes to make a few more trips during the coming weeks.

"I went to Alabama's one day camp last weekend," Sowell said. "I'm probably going to make it camps at LSU and Clemson too. I want to visit Louisville and a couple more this summer."

Sowell plans on using all five of his official visits later this year and that he's thinking of which schools he'd like to visit.

"I plan on waiting to decide and to take all of my official visits, unless something just jumps out at me" he said. "I have started thinking about [official visits]. Right now I'd have to say that I'll use those for Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, LSU and Louisville."

While he's in no rush to decide, the fully-qualified Sowell, has three things on his check list for when he does make his future trips.

"I want to see the campus and how it is academically. I will also meet with the coaches more to see how well I get along with them."

Sowell rushed for over 1,000 yards and 20 scores as a junior and is a member of the South Hot 100.
