New Jersey prospect makes Thursday visit

Don Bosco Prep standout and teammate of incoming Cardinals Darius Mann and Brian Roche is currently visiting the Louisville football complex.

While many prospects, such as Neil Caudle, Tim Hawthorne, Joei Figler, Josh Minton and dozens of others have visited Louisville during recent camps, others such as this year's first commitment Zach Meagher and Don Bosco Prep's Brian Callahan made unofficial visits at a time that would allow for a closer look at what the program has to offer.

Callahan, a 6-foot-3, 200-pound receiver/linebacker, currently has a verbal offer from Bobby Petrino's staff and a written offer from Big East foe Rutgers. Boston College, Connecticut, Iowa and Wisconsin are also showing considerable interest.

Last fall Callahan pulled in 11 passes from rising junior quarterback Matt Simms for 101 yards. Often teamming with incoming U of L freshman Darius Mann on defense, he recorded 66 tackles and three interceptions, garnering first team all-county honors. He was also named second team all-county on offense.

Could Callahan follow the path set by Darius Mann last year and make a decision early? Are sources say yes, but that the school of choice is still unknown.
