Summer Workouts Resume

After spending nearly a week off due to the holiday, the majority of the Cardinals football squad resumed their voluntary summer workouts on Thursday.

After taking nearly a week off due to the Forth of July holiday, over 70 members of the Cardinal football squad, including veterans and a number of incoming freshmen, resumed their voluntary summer workouts this week.

Emotions ran high on Thursday, as each unit appeared determined to best the other when working on pass coverage drills. Highlights of the afternoon included a reach over the defender for a touchdown grab by senior Joshua Tinch and an interception in the end zone by redshirt freshman cornerback Rod Council.

Former Cardinal and Tennessee Titan's rookie defensive back Antoine Harris worked out with the team and took time to give pointers to some of the younger members of the secondary.

Construction Update
Work on the new Trager Center Indoor Practice Facility continues at an impressive pace, but it isn't the only construction going on at the Cardinal's football complex. In addition to new carpeting and other improvements in the training facility, a new addition, which reflects the programs achievements in recent years, is being made to the Johnny Unitas Football Museum.
