Roper describes visit as 'fantastic' 3-star QB Justin Roper of Buford (GA) High School spent the weekend in Louisville on an official visit. During his six and a half hour drive home he spoke with Inside The Ville about his first official trip.

While making the 6 1/2 trip home to Buford, Georgia, 3-star quarterback Justin Roper spoke with Inside The Ville about his time checking out the Louisville football program.

"It went fantastic," said Roper, who attended the Cardinals 63-27 win over Oregon State on Saturday afternoon. "I had a really good time. Their offense is unbelievable."

While in the River City, Roper spent time with a long-time friend and current Cardinal.

"The host on my first night there was Brian Roche and then I hung out with Hunter Cantwell," he said. "I've known Hunter since I was a kid - we grew up together. He's from Buford and we used to go to church together."

With scholarship offers from Duke, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Maryland and Oregon, the 6-foot-7, 195-pound quarterback said that he isn't sure of when he may make a college decision.

"They didn't try to pressure me into a decision," Roper said of the U of L coaching staff. "They asked me what my timetable was and I said that I wasn't sure, so I asked them what their timetable. They told me that they didn't have one and that they would work with my schedule."

Despite choosing not to decide on a school until he makes a few more visits, Roper left impressed by what he saw at Louisville.

"I'm very happy with my visit there," he continued. "They are definitely one of my top choices."

Roper said that he plans on making an official visit to Duke in the near future and could schedule a few more before making a choice.
