Cards take lead for Georgia lineman

Brookwood (GA) High School prospect also planning official visits

Matt Long chose Auburn and Louisville has his leaders last month. The Brookwood Offensive Lineman now has a sole leader and has rearranged his list. Which school leads, and what does the rest of Long's list look like?

"I have Louisville as a leader now," Matt Long said. "Then I'd say Vanderbilt and then Auburn. I like Clemson and Ball State too. That's probably my top five right now."

What does the Gwinnett County standout like about the Cardinals?

"I think they're going to be really competitive this year. They played Oregon State and put up 63 points against them. At Brookwood we're averaging 45 points a game. I like high powered offenses."

Long has received attention from a handful of schools in recent weeks.

"Ball State is still my only offer so far. I've talked to Georgia Tech a few times though. I've also spoken with Southern Illinois and Clemson. I've set up an official to Vandy (Vanderbilt) on October, 15th."

Where else does Long plan to take his official visits?

"I'm not sure about all five of them yet. I'll definitely go to Vandy. I'll probably go to Ball State in December."
