As the No. 22 Louisville Cardinals prepare for their homecoming contest against Florida Atlantic and former coach Howard Schnellenberger, head coach Bobby Petrino had his players spend time focusing on the fundamentals during the early portions of Wednesday's practice.
Considerable time was also spent working on punt return and coverage, an area where the Cardinals have struggled throughout it's first three contests.
Middle linebacker Lamar Myles, who made his first career start against Oregon State, continues to recover from a minor injury that which forced him to miss the South Florida game. The redshirt freshman worked at full speed, but was wearing a knee brace for precautionary reasons.
Sophomore tight end Gary Barnidge, who had his ankle rolled on early in the South Florida game, is listed as day-to-day.
Also listed day-to-day is defensive tackle Amobi Okoye. Adrian Grady and Earl Heyman will fill in as Okoye continues to recover from the injury suffered during the South Florida contest.
