Cards stay put in Coaches Poll

Despite Louisville's dominating 61-10 win over visiting Florida Atlantic on Saturday, the 3-1 Cardinals remained No. 22 in the latest USA Today/Coaches Top 25 poll. The Cardinals improved one spot in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll.

Despite posting 608 yards of offense and giving up just 202 on defense in their 61-10 win over visiting Florida Atlantic on Saturday afternoon, the Louisville Cardinals failed to budge from the No. 22 spot of a week ago.

Louisville (3-1) continues to be the only BIG EAST Conference member in the polls, while West Virginia, who suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday against No. 3 Virginia Tech, remains among the others receiving votes.

New to the poll this week are No. 18 Penn State (5-0) and No. 24 Michigan (3-2). Minnesota and Purdue dropped from the rankings.

Two programs entered an updated top ten, which is once again led by USC, Texas and Virginia Tech. Georgia, Florida State, Ohio State, Tennessee, Miami, California and Alabama round out the top ten.
