Cards, Vols lead for top safety prospect

Darian Stewart, a three-star safety prospect from Huntsville, Alabama, currently has Louisville and Tennessee at the top of his short list of favorites.

Darian Stewart has received offers from some of the top programs in the south. The 3 star prospect from Huntsville was undecided but now has co-leaders.

Stewart's offer list includes Alabama, Kentucky, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Southern Miss, and Marshall among others.

"Tennessee and Louisville are my leaders at this point," Stewart said. "I don't know if I've changed anything. I guess you can add Southern Miss. They're the latest school to offer me."

What does Stewart like about his top two?

Tennessee: "The coaches seem really cool. It's just a great program. I like everything about the school."

Louisville: "It's a great program too. I really like their coaches. They pass a lot too."

Which position does Stewart envision himself playing at the next level?

"Some want me as a Free Safety and some as a Wide Receiver. Most schools are recruiting me as a Wide Receiver though. It really doesn't matter which position I play."

Where will Stewart take his official visits?

"I'll take visits to Tennessee and Louisville for certain. So far that's about all I know of. I'll have to think about where I'll take the rest."

Stewart is looking for one thing on signing day.

"I want to choose a school that I can see myself staying at for four years."
