Cards climb to No. 19 in Coaches & AP Polls

Following their 69-14 win over visiting North Carolina on Saturday, Bobby Petrino's Cardinals climbed 3 spots in the latest USA Today/Coaches Top 25 poll, while next week's opponent, West Virginia, cracks the rankings for the first time this season.

Back on track. Louisville, on the strength of it's 69-14 win over visiting North Carolina, started it's climb back into the top 20. After staying put at No. 22 in last week's USA Today Coaches Top 25, the Cardinals (4-1) climbed to No. 19 this week.

The Cardinals next opponent and fellow BIG EAST Conference member West Virginia cracked the rankings for the first time this season, entering the poll at No. 25.

The top five remained unchanged, with UCS holding the top spot, followed by Texas, Virginia Tech, Georgia and Florida State. Miami, Alabama, LSU, Notre Dame and Penn State round out the new top ten.

Louisville also climbed to No. 19 in the latest Associated Press rankings.
