"I took the SAT this weekend, so I rescheduled my visit to Louisville for November 12," he explained.
As for his interest in the Cardinals?
"I think I would have a good experience there," he said. "They are one of the top programs, so I probably wouldn't get to play as early as other places, but I could probably get over that."
The Cardinals however aren't alone on Gnat's short list.
"Minnesota, Louisville and South Florida," he said when asked about possible favorites.
Minnesota: "I like that they play an up-tempo defense and they will lose a few defensive linemen, so I would have a chance to play early there."
South Florida: "A lot of the same things as Minnesota. Their win over Louisville is what really made me start looking at them more. They flew around on defense and really took the big play away from Louisville."
However, while Gnat admits to prefer the defensive end position, he is aware that early playing time could exist for him at Louisville.
"Coach Petrino told me that I could come in and play at outside linebacker right away and then be a rush end on third downs," he explained. "I could compete for time at defensive end, but I probably wouldn't be ready to play that right away there."
Gnat, who has recorded 25 tackles, including 5 sacks, on the season, also said that he is considering Indiana, South Carolina, Ball State and Central Florida.
