Salters puts Louisville on top of list

Carleton Salters, a talented 6-1, 185-pound receiver with 4.5 speed from Tallahassee's North Florida Christian Academy, currently lists Louisville ahead of several SEC and ACC powers. A three-star prospect ranked the No. 43 WR nationally, Salters is in the process of setting up his official visits.

Tallahassee (Fla.) North Florida Christian standout wide receiver Carlton Salters knows he has to share the ball and he doesn't mind as long as they are winning. NFC, currently 4-2, is led offensively by Salters and running back Marcus Sims.

"Marcus is getting all the touches but that's okay," said Salters jokingly. "I have eight receptions this year. But we are winning and I am having a fun senior season."

Salters says recruiting is going very well and for now he has a tentative list with a tentative leader.

"Louisville is my leader. I love the Petrinos and they love to throw the football," Salters said. "I also like Maryland, Wake Forest, Auburn, and Arkansas."

"I know that I will visit Louisville and Maryland for sure. And right now it looks like I am going to leave the state. There is a chance with Florida State later if they don't get a few guys like (Percy) Harvin and (Vidal) Hazelton. LSU, NC State and West Virginia are still in there as well."

Salters is also a standout on special teams where he has two punt returns for a touchdown and one kickoff return for a touchdown. He has five scores on the year.
