Louisville, Tennessee, and Southern Mississippi currently sit atop the list for the 6-foot, 205-pound Stewart. Ranked the No. 26 safety nationally by Scout.com, Stewart said he's planning to make official visits to each of his three favorites beginning in December.
"Right now those are my top three," Stewart said of the Cardinals, Volunteers and Golden Eagles.
Though Stewart said he's willing to play any position in college, he did express a slight preference to play offense.
"It doesn't really matter to me which position I play in college, but most likely I want to play wide receiver," said Stewart.
Both Louisville and Southern Mississippi are recruiting Stewart for offense, while Tennessee would like to add him to their defense.
"That gives Louisville and Southern Miss a little edge," Stewart said.
"I plan to take all five official visits," Stewart said.
Asked what factors he'll consider in picking a college, Stewart indicated that education will play a large part of his decision.
"I'm just trying to get my education really," he said.
Stewart had a big game Friday night in a 42-30 win over Huntsville that clinched both the city and region titles for Lee, scoring four touchdowns (2 rushing, 2 receiving), and intercepting three passes.
