Memphis DE Hardy puts U of L in top 4

6-foot-6, 245-pound Greg Harvey, a star defensive end from Memphis, currently lists the University of Louisville on his short list of favorites.

Memphis prospect Greg Hardy is one of the better prospects from west Tennessee this season. He's narrowed his list to four candidates for an official visit and he talks about each one here with Scout.com.

"I'm pretty much wide open but I will probably will visit LSU, Louisville, Ole Miss and Tulsa. I have to sort out the dates around my basketball schedule," Greg Hardy said.

What stands out about each of those programs?

LSU: "I just like the environment with all the people. I had a good time on my unofficial down there."

Louisville; "I like the campus there and they have a pretty good team."

Ole Miss: "I like how the coaches teach and it's a place I know I can play early."

Tulsa: "They're recruiting me for basketball and that's one of my highest places for that sport."

Hardy is still entertaining the possibility of playing basketball or even both sports on the next level.

"Right now I like basketball better than football. I'm thinking about possibly playing both sports so I have to sort all of that out. Once I figure out what I'm going to do then I'll be able to narrow things down more."
