Nate Cole, the No. 9 defensive tackle prospect in the Midwest according to Scout.com, had a very good senior season but it may not be until January to find out if his favorites will offer a scholarship.

"Nate has offers from Eastern Michigan, Ball State, Ohio and Toledo (12-2)," said Trotwood-Madison coach Maurice Douglass.

"Nate is going to visit Illinois (12-9) next weekend but they haven't offered yet. I spoke with (Illinois assistant) Dino Dawson today and he told me that they like Nate a lot but they might have another defensive tackle from the juco ranks that they're going to scholarship.

"Illinois likes Nate a lot and they're still going to bring him in next week to see if there's a fit. Nate is also waiting on Louisville. The coaches down there like him a lot as well.

"I think what you're seeing here with Nate is that he's on a lot of boards but the bigger schools are waiting to see what happens with their current scholarship offers."

Cole (6-2, 275) did nothing but improve his stock. He looks very good on film. Nate plays with power, he moves well for a big man and he gets to the football. When Cole learns how to play with his hand better and get off blocks quicker, he'll be a force.
