Nord, Whitt visit Aundre Henderson

Louisville assistants Greg Nord and Joe Whitt Jr., visited with DuPont Manual High School's Aundre Henderson earlier this week. The Scout.com 3-star defensive lineman spoke with Inside The Ville on Thursday about his commitment to Minnesota, as well as his continued interest in the hometown Cardinals and their rival Wildcats.

Aundre Henderson, who is rated by Scout.com as the nation's 55th best defensive tackle prospect, told InsideTheVille.com last week that he had informed all but three of the school's recruiting to discontinue with their interest in him. Minnesota, which received a verbal commitment from Henderson earlier this year, as well as Louisville and Kentucky remained.

Earlier this week the two in-state programs displayed their continued interest as both visited the 3-star prospect at DuPont Manual High School.

"U of L and UK came by my school on Monday," he said. "Coach Nord and Coach Whitt told me how they wanted me to come there and how I would fit in with their defense."

The 6-foot-4, 275-pound Henderson made his official visit with Minnesota during September and is anticipating making two more official trips, both of which are scheduled for the upcoming weeks.

"I'm going to go to Louisville on the eighth and I'm going to go to Kentucky on the 16th," he said. "I'm just trying to make sure that Minnesota is the right place for me."

With his high school career now over, Henderson is spending much of his time preparing for football on the college level.

"I'm lifting weights and running a lot on my own right now."

Inside The Ville will continue to track the Cardinal coaching staff as they prepare to begin making out of state visits following their final regular season game at Connecticut on Saturday.
