Jeramy Devane talks Louisville

Offensive lineman Jeramy Devane made the trip up from his Daytona Beach home for an official visit with Louisville last weekend. The 6-foot-4, 295-pound prospect spoke with ITV and discussed his trip to U of L, the process of making a college decision and more.

The Louisville coaching staff found quick success from their recruiting efforts last weekend, when massive 6-foot-7, 305-pound offensive lineman Josh Hawkins verbally committed. The Cardinals coaching staff is also hoping to land a commitment from another imposing offensive lineman from last weekend's official visit list in 6-foot-4, 295-pound Jeramy Devane.

"I liked it and had a lot of fun on my visit there," Devane said of his trip to Louisville. "We went out to eat, drove around the campus checking things out and met with someone in the field that I plan to study, which is criminal justice."

The Daytona Beach Seabreeze High School product also spent time visiting with the entire coaching staff, including at a breakfast that was also attended by U of L Athletic Director Tom Jurich.

"They told me that if I went there and if I was ready that I could play my first year," said Devane. "If I'm not ready then I'd take a redshirt year. It would really depend on how well I perform."

Devane's trip to Louisville marked the first of his five scheduled official visits. He'll trip to Wake Forest this weekend and has remaining dates scheduled with Central Florida (12/9), South Carolina (1/13) and West Virginia (1/20).

"I'm really going to try to take all of my visits before making a decision," he explained. "I want to make sure I see everything first."
