Gnat has two schools at the top

Rodney Gnat, a three-star defensive end prospect from Jacksonville, Fl., has narrowed his list down to five and says two programs currently standout above the rest. Louisville coach Bobby Petrino has an in-home visit scheduled with Gnat tonight and the standout defender has an important official visit coming up this week.

Florida defensive end prospect Rodney Gnat is getting closer to making a decision and he has narrowed his list down to five with a pair of leaders for his signature.

"I've got it down to five right now. I like Louisville, Minnesota, Purdue, South Florida and Florida A&M. Louisville and Minnesota are the top two and Purdue right now is a close third," Rodney Gnat said.

What sticks out about the Cardinals and the Gophers?

Louisville: "I grew up in the city so I kind of want to stay with the city feel but get the college experience."

Minnesota: "Same as Louisville really. I love the interaction between players and they have great facilities."

Rodney has entertained a lot of coaches at his home since in-home visits began.

"Purdue was at my house tonight and Indiana was here today. Ball State and Florida A&M were here last week. Minnesota was here a couple weeks ago. Coach Petrino from Louisville will be here on Wednesday."

The Boilermakers will make their bid to join Minnesota and Louisville at the top of his list this weekend.

"I'll be at Purdue this weekend for my official visit. I'll also go to Florida A&M for an official and I'm pretty sure my final visit will go South Florida."
